Cyberstart is a free e-tutorial for companies to improve their cyber security. Cyber security is becoming increasingly important for companies to establish and maintain trust with customers and other stakeholders. After all, customers want their data to remain safe and that the company they are a customer of is cyber-resilient and does not collapse at the first cyber attack. Moreover, cybersecurity is no longer an option but increasingly a legal obligation. New European and American laws and guidelines require large companies to improve their own security measures, contractually enforce cybersecurity on their supply chain and actually monitor it.
Cyberstart is an accessible, 30-week program that companies can register for, after which they receive the next practically feasible measure every week by email. The cyberstart emails also contain true stories, fascinating insights, explanations of why certain measures are important, facts and points for self-reflection, as well as handy checklists to download.
The participants follow the Cyberfundamentals Basic framework of the Center for Cybersecurity Belgium (CCB), which covers the typical functions of cybersecurity one by one: identify, protect, detect, respond, recover. The emails are easy to read and without technical cybersecurity language.
